"Rumors of my death..." - An Operation Edgelord Narrative
Fellow citizens of the State Empire,
As you are aware, one of the responsibilities of the Imperial Service operatives is to ascertain the veracity of the information being disseminated on Maya. In this endeavour, we are aided by Aleph itself, but on occasion, we are compelled to delve even deeper, thus seeking access to Arachne's network. It was at this juncture that we unearthed a report of a shooting incident at Porto Interplanétario on the planetoid HuEOS 289, which involved Corregidorian unloaders and one of our patrols. Some reports even make reference to my being shot down. It is evident that this information is either false or fabricated, and that it is being disseminated with the intention of advancing a particular agenda through the use of pernicious propaganda. The rumors of my death have been exaggerated. Indeed, I am currently situated aboard the Spirit of the Forge, in optimal physical condition, and am able to confirm the continued efficacy of our operations in the Human Edge. As you are doubtless aware, mercenary deployments against the StateEmpire during the Shatterground crisis are subject to rigorous investigation. The might of the StateEmpire is unquestionable, even in this environment where these mercenaries may feel “at home”. A multitude of investigative avenues are pursued in order to ascertain the accuracy of the information or to identify and apprehend those who pose a threat to the citizen. One of these leads us to one of the most disreputable locations in Porto Interplanétario.
I will not burden you with the specifics of the engagement, but I feel obliged to inform you that our forces emerged triumphant. The deployment of Malware Beepers proved to be of significant value. During the course of the operation, the identification procedures proceeded in an orderly and efficient manner, affording us the opportunity to apprehend a subject deemed to be a significant threat. The interrogation team will be able to elicit the information required, regardless of whether it concerns the discredited mercenary companies or the Task Force Tundra Wolves, who are currently the subject of a galaxy-wide manhunt.
Furthermore, commendations are due to the personnel on board the Spirit of the Forge. It is hoped that their exemplary conduct will serve as a model for all those who serve the StateEmpire. The medical bay has been operating at full capacity, providing surgical care to the injured in order to facilitate their return to active duty. I will make sure that the effort of these men is widely recognised.
